Founding Attorney Hunter Adams began his career with a large institutional client — a university — and grew from there, now proudly representing individuals, universities, and businesses of all sizes. Though we have offices in New Orleans and Alabama (Mobile, Huntsville and Birmingham), we consult clients nationwide and internationally and provide high-quality representation with no compromises.

Founder and Principal Attorney

Jason Lee DeFrancesco is the founder of DeFrancescoLaw and leads the firm’s intellectual property and business advisory practice. He brings more than twenty years of experience advising domestic and international clients on trademark, patent, and IP strategy across a wide range of industries, including consumer products, fashion, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and technology.

Before founding DeFrancescoLaw, Jason served as a partner at Hill Wallack LLP, where he practiced within the firm’s Intellectual Property and Corporate Law groups and worked on complex domestic and international matters. He has also held senior in-house and boutique-firm roles, including serving as Chief Corporate IP Counsel at American Torch Tip Company and as Senior IP Counsel at Baker & Rannells IP boutique, managing global portfolios for multinational and publicly traded companies.

Jason is licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Florida, Washington, D.C., the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Florida State University, an M.S. in Chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a J.D. from Albany Law School.
